Worship and Christian Education
|
Worship services and Christian Education classes provide opportunities for our students to deepen their relationship with God. Preschool students attend informal chapel services once a week while lower and middle school students attend daily. In addition to chapel, weekly Eucharist services are held at the main campus on Johnston Street. Regardless of their faith traditions, students are encouraged to participate in prayer and song.
Weekly Christian Education instruction for preschool students includes Bible story activities. Students in grades 1-8 also participate in weekly instruction with topics that encourage the attributes found in the school prayer: gentleness, generosity, truthfulness, kindness and bravery. A course of Comparative Faiths is taught in the eighth grade year. All grade levels participate in community service opportunities throughout the school year. |
